Strathendrick Balfron HS join 10 independent schools in having its U16's and U18's teams reach the National School's Shield Quarter Finals 2022.

Strathendrick Balfron High School U16 and U18's have reached the National School's Shield Quarter Finals 2022 following their successful season in the conference with the U18's coming 2nd in their age group and the U16's coming 1st in their age group.

Strathendrick Balfron HS U16 and U18's are the ONLY state school in Scotland to have both its U16's and U18's teams reach the National School's Shield Quarter Finals 2022.

Strathendrick Balfron HS join 10 independent schools, the top draw of youth rugby in having both their U16 and U18 in the National School's Shield or Cup Quarter Finals. These Include:

Strathendrick Balfron HS
Queen Victoria School
Lorretto School
St Columbus School
St Aloysius' College
Merchiston Castle College
George Watson College
Stewarts Melville School
Dollar Academy
High School of Glasgow
High School of Dundee

This is a fantastic achievement for the school and club and the 40 volunteer coaches who work hard each week to help the boys and girls improve and enjoy their rugby. The boys and girls who play at Strathendrick Balfron HS are all Balfron HS pupils with a modest school roll of only 860 students.

The progress for the midi age group has been exceptional given that 8 years ago the school/club partnership began with just a single S1/S2 team and a handful of dedicated coaches.
