As the New President of Strathendrick Rugby Club I have the great pleasure and honour of taking the club through its fiftieth anniversary year. I’m sure a lot of challenges await us, but hopefully a great deal of success and fun too.

However I think it is important to say thank you to all the past committee members, players, coaches, supporters and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the screens to put teams on the field each week, they have done an amazing job in the last year. This is clearly illustrated by the outstanding success of the Strathendrick / Balfron HS U18s reaching the final of the National Schools Plate competition and of course our ladies team taking to the field for the first time and winning their second game.

Without the help of everyone around the club it wouldn't be the triumph it is today, so thank you all.

In the coming year, we the committee, would hope you will give us all the same support and new people step forward to help Strathendrick continue to grow and develop. If you would like to get involved as a volunteer, have some ideas to support the club or particular skills that could help us please come forward and make the club stronger at all levels, you will be most welcome.

I will be around the club on a regular basis, so if I haven't had the pleasure to meet you yet, please come and say hello and have a chat.
