Earlier this evening I had the honour of being elected as President of Strathendrick RFC an organisation which has played a big role in my life and continues to be very important to me and my family.

The growth in our club throughout the community over recent years has been substantial due mainly to the hard works of a significant number of volunteers. It is therefore only right that the contribution of the immediate Past-President, Jeremy Pemberton-Piggott, and the rest of his committee be acknowledged – there are too many individuals to list so a big thanks to you all for your hard work over the past few years.

It would be reckless of me to disregard the skills and talents of the individuals who have managed the many aspects of the Club through the, often difficult, past few years. So I can confirm that all of those skills will continue to be utilised by the new Committee. My thanks to each of those individuals for their continued work and support.

There are aspects of the Club which require some attention and these will be identified and the plans known in the very near future. It is my intention that as we approach our 50th anniversary (October 2025) that throughout my period of office Strathendrick RFC continues to prosper to become stronger on all fronts and known throughout the Scottish Rugby community as one of the best Clubs, if not the best Club, in the Land.

I hope that all those who have an interest in our Club, players, coaches, sponsors, supporters and all those I have missed can be included and play a part in this ambition.
