Strathendrick U16s returned from Sweden as proud champions of the Viking Cup, having won all five of their matches in an unforgettable weekend of rugby. More than just the silverware, this tour was about experiencing the game of rugby in its purest form—played hard but fair, with respect, camaraderie, and great spirit from all sides.
For our boys, this was more than a competition—it was a life experience. They’ve made memories to last a lifetime, bonded as a squad, and represented our club and community with pride and maturity. Rugby has a brilliant way of creating these moments, and the Viking Cup delivered in spades.
Of course, a tour like this doesn’t happen without a lot of support. We’re incredibly grateful to all who helped make it possible—whether through generous donations, providing auction or raffle prizes, or simply buying a ticket and dancing at the ceilidh. You played a part in something truly special.
A huge thank you to our main sponsors—Ross Fire Protection, Jackson Vets, and Arnold Clark—for their generosity and belief in the team. Special mention must also go to Debby McGregor, our unstoppable Fundraising Manager, and David Gould, our calm and committed Tour Manager, who both went above and beyond to make the trip a success.
Thank you to everyone who backed our boys—your support turned a dream into reality. Skål!
