Welcome to the 2017/18 rugby season with Strathendrick RFC. We have got an exciting year ahead of us with lots to look forward to – and lots of work to be done!

The Balfron / SRFC Midis have now attained Diamond League status in the schools competition meaning we will be turning out x5 teams every week! The first round of matches is this Saturday morning, against Carrick: S1, S2, U15 away; U16 & U18 at Fintry.
Our Mini section kicks off this Sunday with its Open Day at Fintry, 10.30 – 12.30, all primary school children – experienced or new to rugby – are welcome: a family BBQ follows the games.

The Club 1st XV have won promotion back to West Division 2 but we are optimistic we will still do well in this more competitive league. (Unfortunately we went out of the Shield tournament in our match against high-flyers, Carrick, last weekend).

AND we are planning to turn out a 2nd XV this season in collaboration with McLaren, for the first time in a number of years. This is a major development for Strathendrick as it gives younger / older/ occasional players the opportunity to get involved and builds our playing capacity. The first double-header is Sat 9 Sept so we need maximum player turn-out at training that week – and Quiz Night follows – all welcome!

AND the U18s – boys and girls – are going on Tour to Italy in October – and so much more. So please, come and get involved, and support your Club in whatever way you can; volunteers always welcome.
