The girls travelled to Meggetland on Sunday to compete in a preseason friendly against Boroughmuir RFC.

The afternoon sun was out for beautiful rugby conditions.

The girls started strong in the fixture securing the first try after a series of back-and-forth ball possession. The game was quick with the girls moving the ball wide well and then using strong attack lines. The games then developed to full AGLV with the girls again starting strong in attack. From the initial kick restart, the girls moved at pace to quickly recover the ball and secure the first try.

The game then developed into a fierce competition with a high level of physicality. The girls rose to the challenge and put in a solid shift. The day was exactly the type of preseason fixture that was needed - identification of area to focus, and reiterate the strength in the girls game plan.

Overall, a solid start to the season.
