Great effort from everyone. Firstly, after a long season what a fantastic turnout of players. 14 signed up for the game and a few even making themselves available whilst recovering from injury.

Morrisons only had six S2s so brought in six S3s to make a team of 12. Despite them having these older/larger players our boys stood up really well. As is our style - a slightly slow start allowed Morrisons to build a lead early on but once we’d gotten over that we played all the rugby.

Lots of highlights in the game with Jake, Ruars and Cameron Y carrying the ball brilliantly, Cammy M tackling everything that moved and taking numerous turnovers at the ruck, Captain Mark carrying well and making his tackles and Clark causing their scrum half all sorts of problems at the scrum!

Special mention to Josh for one of the best try saving tackles I’ve ever seen. Morrison’s player had ran the length of the pitch and whilst the coaches heads were in their hands Josh came from nowhere to make up the ground, get the tackle and win the ball - exceptional spirit.
