2. Club History

Since it's inception in 1975 Strathendrick has built its strength and survival on youth, with thriving Mini & Youth sections producing many accomplished adult players over the years, a significant number of whom have gone on to play for "larger clubs" at a higher level. Past alumni include Scottish international Rory Kerr and current Glasgow professional and Scotland 7's player Colin Gregor (Budgie to his mates).

The Club 1st XVs greatest achievement, guided by coach David Barrett - was to reach the semi-final of the Scottish Cup in 2000. A phenomenal run beating Gala, Stewarts Melville and a number of other notable names on the journey, all whilst Strathendrick resided in the 10th Division of Scottish Rugby.

With a glorious tradition of social and playing tours two landmarks were international tours to Kansas in 1992 and Toronto in 2001. The Youth section has also toured Canada in following in the footsteps of Balfron High ventures.
